This began at age 18, when I attended a prestigious college near to Reading to train to become a living breathing Mary Poppins which I loved every second of. Once qualified I worked as a private nanny in London and the Cotswolds.
I then returned to Worcestershire to start my own family, and during that time I worked at a large Early Years Centre in Worcester. I managed the large Baby Care Department within the centre, alongside a team of Nursery Nurses and working within safeguarding.
I loved putting the families at ease and supporting them with the transition back to work and in nurturing their baby.
In 2018 I began studying a full time degree with the National Childbirth Trust called 'Birth and Beyond' at The University of Worcester, and here I became qualified as a Postnatal Practitioner, Baby Massage Teacher and a Birth Doula.
During my time of studying, I have had the honour
of supporting women and their birth partners at both Worcester Royal Hospital and on the postnatal ward at Birmingham Women's Hospital. I have spent time discussing birth with partners and getting a sense of their perspective of pregnancy and birth, as well as supporting them with their feeding choices - gaining an in depth knowledge into life postnatally, for a couple and their baby.
I am in complete awe of women and their innate ability to birth their baby. I am really passionate about hypnobirthing and how it can help women overcome fear and anxiety, leading to a woman feeling she has choice and is in control of her
birth and her body.
Whatever direction birth takes a woman, whether
it is in a pool or an emergency caesarean, there is always a place for hypnobirthing to empower and
to lead to a positive experience.
